What is the Oklahoma Universal Service Fund (OUSF) charge on my bill?

This fee is intended to ensure the availability of reasonable and affordable telephone services to customers throughout Oklahoma and to assist with bringing high speed internet service to schools, libraries and healthcare facilities.

Access lines ILEC and fixed voice lines CLEC, business and residential

How is the fee calculated?

The fee established by the OCC through procedural hearings is currently set at 6.28%. FUSF changes quarterly based on the FCC Public Notice hearings and is currently set at 19.60% for the 2nd quarter 2020. It is based on procedural meetings set out in the OCC and FCC.

Any exemptions?

The only exemption is wholesale revenue and/or a contributor to each of these funds. This would typically be another carrier (AT&T, Sprint, etc.). All residential and business customers would be subject to the fees as applicable.
