What is the Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) charge on my bill?
The funds are utilized to enable individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind or speech impaired to communicate by telephone or other device through the telephone system at no additional charge.

How is the fee calculated?
Individual lines rates are set by utilizing a calculation of the total TRS state and federal billed allocated over all access lines. This number is in constant fluctuation. The percentage is based on the number of access lines both business and residential as well as the billed amounts from the federal and state TRS authorities.
