Why am I not getting the the speed I pay for?

Unfortunately, many wireless devices currently on the market are not built to function at a full gig. Newer computers might be able to process 1 Gig speed if they are hardwired directly. One of the many advantages of 1 Gig is the ability to deliver steady speeds to multiple devices running simultaneously.

To confirm which speed you are currently receiving, if you are running a speed test on a device, we recommend running a speed test while it is hardwired. If you have the BTC Broadband Wi-Fi app, you should run your speed test through the app. That will give you the most accurate result of the speeds delivered to the unit before the Wi-Fi signal is transmitted.
